They asked me to design their new studio and they offered me an empty space in an old factory in Amsterdam North. I couldn't denie the place the studio was based in now. For the new studio of YiPP, I designed a cabinet to seperate the big space in office- and workspace. To experience the existing construction of the ceiling, I designed a second ceiling, which gives more rest to the office part of the studio. Red is the colour of the corperate identity of YiPP. De expositie die de uitstraling van een winkel moest hebben moest de mogelijkheid bieden Sue's uniek ontworpen blikken tentoon te stellen en tegelijkertijd de flexibiliteit van een pop-up storen te hebben. Omdat ik graag werk met gegevens die er zijn en in dit geval de maatvoeringen van de materialen en ruimte, ben ik de palen, de dragers van de schappen tussen plafond en vloer gaan klemmen. Voorzien van enkel metalen pinnen konden de planken direct geplaatst worden. Voor de maten van de schappen ben ik uitgegaan van de maten van een plaat radiata bij aankoop (122 x 244 cm). De winkel bestaat uiteindelijk uit drie radiata platen volledig opgezaagd en gebruikt. De maatvoering van de schappen heb ik laten bijgedragen aan de indeling en heeft het ontwerp van de winkel gestuurd. Ik vind dat een portemonnee een zeer persoonlijk en wezenlijk bezit is dat je dagelijks met je meedraagt. Ik kijk hierbij aandachtig naar de fijnste kleuren combinaties, én ben ik opzoek naar leer met oneffenheden, zoals littekens en textuurverschillen. Het aanbod van leer is bepalend voor de wisselende kleine collecties, daarom is elke portemonnee uniek. Om je eigen CRUMILLA te onderscheiden van elke andere, is hij ook voorzien van een met de hand ingeslagen nummer. CRUMILLA is een ontwerp met zo min mogelijk onnodige toevoegingen. De portemonnee bestaat uit gesneden leren vormen, die door middel van het vouwen van het leer en een aantal kleine details bijeengehouden wordt. De hoeveelheid vouwen bepaalt de mogelijkheden van elk model binnen de collectie.
